Dorothy I. Knueppel passed away peacefully at Luther Manor in Milwaukee, on Thursday, March 7, 2012, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rev. Fred Knueppel, her parents, Milton and Marie (Fischer) Wulf, and a brother, Harold Wulf. She is survived by her children, Paul and Kathleen; a sister, Marie (Robert) Mikels; grandchildren, Klint, Kellye, Klay, Kole, Kon, and Kacye Knueppel, and seventeen great-grandchildren. After serving in parishes in Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan, Connecticut, and Ohio, Fred and Dorothy retired to Door County in 1984. A private memorial service will be held. Memorials may be sent to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Bay.
