Edwin “Boots” Sperber, 71, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on April 11, 2012, at Ministry Door County Medical Center. He was born on March 20, 1941, in Sturgeon Bay to Alfred Sr. and Mathilda (LaVine) Sperber. Boots worked at the Algoma Hardwoods for many years. He was an honorary member of the Door Devils Motorcyle Club. On Nov. 10, 1962, he married Beverly Haegele in Algoma.
She survives as does 1 son, William (Deborah) Sperber, Forestville; 2 grandchildren, Autumn (Brennan) Covert and Shawna Sperber; 1 great-granddaughter, Jillian Covert; 1 brother, Alfred “Fritz” (Jane) Sperber, Sturgeon Bay; 1 sister-in-law, Janice Sperber; 2 brothers-in-law, Louie Anderson and Wayne Haegele; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, George and a sister, Lucille Anderson.
