Edwin "Ed" Bosman 

 
 

 
  Edwin Lawrence “Ed” Bosman, 83, of Sturgeon Bay died on July 28, 2008 at Door County Memorial Skilled Nursing Facility.He was born on April 14, 1925 in the Town of Gardner to Joseph and Anna (Delarwell) Bosman.Ed served in the U. S. Army and was part of the Normandy invasion on Utah Beach during World War II.On January 18, 1947 he married Elaine Halverson at Forest Lutheran Church.Ed and his brother Willard owned and operated Bosman’s Auto Body for 35 years.He enjoyed hunting with family and friends, especially the hunting trips to Wyoming.Ed was an excellent fisherman.He loved fishing on the lake and provided many trout boils for family and friends.According to his family, Ed was the best auto body mechanic in Door County.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters: JoAnn (Allen) Schley, Sturgeon Bay: Diane (Larry) Tice, Sturgeon Bay; Donna Bosman, Danbury; Lori Bosman, Sturgeon Bay; five grandchildren: Jill (Dan) Lau; Jeffrey (Erica) Schley; Michael (Yvette) Tice, Christine (Gary) Kroll; Timothy Tice; five-great grandchildren, Robbie and Jordan Lau; Mckenzie and Cole Schley; Tanner Tice; a sister-in-law, Jane Bosman, Missisippi; two brothers-in-law, Richard (Judy) Halverson, Green Bay; Tony (Dolores) Halverson, Colorado; many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Tice; four sisters, Mary, Lucy, Rosie and Annie; three brothers, Joe, Clifford and Willard.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008 at BayView Lutheran Church, the Rev. Tim Malek officiating.Burial will be in Forest Cemetery with military honors.Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and then after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of services.
