Robert C. Anderson, 83, Sturgeon Bay died at his residence on August 12, 2009. He was born September 19, 1925 in Ellison Bay to Charles and Amanda (Wickman) Anderson. He was a graduate of Gibraltar High School and attended a Junior College in Clifton, TX. Robert served in the U. S. Navy from 1944-46. On August 24, 1946 he married Bernice Becker in Ellison Bay. He was a mason by trade and at one time owned and operated a hardware store in Ellison Bay.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Lindsay (Michael) Petrillo, Bayville, NJ; Chris Anderson, Jacksonport; a sister, Dorothy Peterson, Ellison Bay; special friends, Jane Nelson, Jacksonport, John Atkins, Yorkville, Il; a special niece, Carol Bockhop, Sturgeon Bay; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby and Pearl and an infant brother, Clyde.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2009 at BayView Lutheran Church, the Rev. Jerry Groth officiating. Burial in Little Sister Cemetery, Sister Bay. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Forbes Funeral Home and then after 10 a.m. Monday at the church until time of services. Memorials may be given to Unity Hospice or BayView Lutheran Church in his memory. |
