Ralph Leonard Blahnik 86, Sturgeon Bay, passed away at his home on April 3, 2009. He was born on June 26, 1922 in Alaska, Wisconsin to Leander and Agnes (Blahnik) Blahnik. On December 29, 1943 he married Allyn Marie Beaudin, she preceded him in death on February 5, 1976. On May 2, 1987 he married Mercedes Bink at the Corpus Christi Church. Ralph owned and operated Blahnik’s Glad Acres Truck Garden. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards. Ralph retired from Bayship Building, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and an officer of the Boilermakers Union. Survivors include wife: Mercedes; five children: Darleen (Emil) Scheidecker, Suzie (Thomas) Weidner, Brussels; Roland (Marie) Blahnik, Louisville, KY; Lee Ann Sprifke, Forestville; Jeanne (Richard) Klotz, Sturgeon Bay; two stepchildren: Keith (Mary) Bink, Sturgeon Bay; Beth (Tim) Jeurink, Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren: Kris Scheidecker, Chip Scheidecker, Scott Weidner, Lisa Musil, Jon Klotz, Brian Klotz; two step grandchildren: Gretchen and Rachel Bink; seven great grandchildren; one brother: Robert (Glenna) Blahnik; three sisters: Rosemary Younger, Ruby (Ralph) Kottke, Rosalie Blahnik; four sisters-in-law and brother in law: Lucy Blahnik, Marie Blahnik, Sylvia Londo, Cletus Beaudin, Yvonne Beaudin; numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Allyn; son-in-law: Tony Sprifke; four brothers: Roland, Randy, Russell, Royal; six brothers and sister-in-law: Virgil Ash, Chester Ash, Gordon Ash, Julia Hanson, John Younger, Daniel Beaudin and William Beaudin. Funeral Services will be on 10:30 AM Monday April 6, 2009 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. The Rev. Carl Schmitt officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Forbes Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday at funeral home. |
