Isabelle Marie Petersen, 87, of Sturgeon Bay died at Door County Memorial Hospital on March 28, 2009. She was born October 16, 1921 in Forestville to Alfred and Rikka (Halverson) Jome. On February 6, 1943 she married Herbert Petersen in Forestville. Isabelle was a member of Bay View Lutheran, the Church Women (WELCA), and past member of the Evergreen Homemakers Club. Many years ago she was also a member of the Tanum Lutheran League and choir. Isabelle enjoyed gardening and dancing. She also had a passion for music and was a talented musician.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert; three sons, James (Linda) Petersen, Egg Harbor; Dale (Mary) Petersen, Green Bay; Jeff (Judy Harmann) Petersen, Sturgeon Bay; four grandchildren, Sara (Tim) Guyette, St. Paul, MN; Jaime Petersen, St. Peter, MN; Joe (Joanna) Petersen, Green Bay; Kate Petersen, Edina, MN; one great- grandson, Owen Guyette and one great- granddaughter “on the way”. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Bay View Lutheran Church, the Rev. James Hill officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3 and then after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of services. Memorials may be given to Bay View Lutheran Church. |
