Pearl B. Lautenbach, 95, Sturgeon Bay passed away at Whispering Heights, Sturgeon Bay on December 20, 2008. She was born April 5, 1913 in Jacksonport to Gustav and Nora (Longley) Graf. Pearl was a life long resident of Door County and graduated from Sevastopol High School in May of 1931. During her early years she worked at the Thorp Hotel in Fish Creek.Pearl was the Pastry Chef at the Bayview Hotel in Sturgeon Bay for ten years. On December 9, 1936 she married Arthur Lautenbach in Door County, he preceded her in death in 1977. She and Arthur owned and operated the Fish Creek Motel and Alibi Restaurant and Dock for twenty years.Pearl was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church. Survivors include her three children, Karen Cowan, Green Bay; Roger (Nora) Lautenbach, Sturgeon Bay; Dale (Kenlyn) Lautenbach, Green Bay; three Grandchildren, Andrew, Katherine and Sara Lautenbach. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, nine brothers and two sisters. Memorial Services will be held on April 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bridal Church and Chapel located on Country trunk M & C. Memorials May be given to St. Peters Lutheran Church, Whispering Heights or Asera Care. Special thank you from the family to the staff at Whispering Heights and Asera Care. |
