Mary Feest ,72, of 1000 S. Oxford in Sturgeon Bay, died on March 17, 2009 at the Dorchester.She was born on December 12, 1936 to the late Louis and Dorothy (Long) Fernandez. She married Clayton Feest on November 11, 1961 at Corpus Christi Church in Sturgeon Bay. Clayton preceded her in death, passing on April 14, 2004 after 42 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Francis, and one other brother, Michael Fernandez. Mary and Clayton owned Door Trucking, a cattle hauling company, for almost 20 years and Mary worked at Doerr Electric/Emerson Motors for more than 20 years. In her retirement years, she enjoyed working part-time at the Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay. Mary enjoyed dancing, playing cards, traveling, reading and spending time laughing with her family and friends. She is survived by 6 children: Joe (Beth) Feest, Union Grove; Kristy (Gary) Barrett, Forestville; Patty Tebon, Kolberg; Steve (Heidi) Feest, Sturgeon Bay; Carla (Bryan) Ritter, Sturgeon Bay; and Andrea (Randy) Dufek, Algoma.Mary has 6 grandchildren, Courtney Barrett, Kara Ritter, JaredTebon, Deseree Dufek, Dayton Tebon and Allianna Dufek. She is also survived by 6 brothers and sisters Janet (Roger) Haskell, Sturgeon Bay; Peggy Schreiber, Mukwonago; Richard (Patti) Fernandez, Boston; Dan (Dee) Fernandez, Sturgeon Bay; Tom (Sharon) Fernandez, Sturgeon Bay; and Dorothy Lou Grosshuesch, Green Bay; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 20, at the Holy Name of Mary Parish inMaplewood.Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 PM at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 PM on Thursday. The Feest family would like to thank Dr. Beck, Dr. Kurek, and the caring staff at the Door County Memorial Hospital and the Dorchester. |
