Marie Alice Euclide 81, of Sturgeon Bay, died Monday, February 16, at the Door County Memorial Hospital.  She was born on February 25, 1927 in Rosiere to Jule and Mathilda (Jeanquart) Guilette.  On October 18, 1944 Marie married John “Jack” Euclide in Namur.He preceded her in death on April 12, 2006.  Marie was the head cook at Southern Door High School for many years.  She was a member of the Christian Mothers of Maplewood and the Forestville Senior Citizens Club.  Marie enjoyed fishing, playing cards, bowling, golfing and especially spending time with her family.

Survivors include three children: Becky (Dennis) Tremble, Brussels; Brenda (Mark) Prust, Algoma; Mark (Cindy) Euclide, Sturgeon Bay; grandchildren:T had (Angie) Tremble, Tracy (Tim) Baganz, Tanya (Troy) Otto, Tony (Becky) Prust, Cory (Karissa) Prust, Ryan (Tonya) Euclide, and Jennifer (Matt) Shefchik; great-grandchildren: Sierra and Courtney Tremble, Abbi, Lyndsey and Sidney Otto, and Zach and Hayden Prust, Marissa Shefchik, Logan Euclide; one sister: Emily (Wilfred) Vandertie, Brussels; in-laws: Viola (Jerry) Monfils, Harold (LaVerne) Euclide, Lucy Guilette, Joyce Guilette and Bernice Guilette.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Troy Tremble; seven brothers:Harvey, Nelson, George, Edwin, Robert, Lawrence, and Julius Guilette; four sisters:Hilda LeGrave, Evan Fameree, Emma Stroobants, and Adeline Guilette; in-laws:Beatrice, Em, Dorothy, Adeline, and Vivian Guilette, Jim LeGrave, Nora Fameree, and Norman Stroobants.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Holy Name of Mary Church in Maplewood. Rev. Robert Konkol OFM and Rev. Anthony Birdsall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Forbes Funeral Home Wednesday Feb. 18, from 4-8 PM and also at the church on Thursday at 10:00 AM until the time of services. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Door County Diabetes Foundation and Unity Hospice and Palliative Care.
