 Madeline Delwiche

 
 

 

 
 

     Madeline Delwiche, 93, Forestville, died peacefully on December 16, 2009 at Oak Creek Assisted Living in Luxemburg.  She was born in Kewaunee County on October 2, 1916 to the late Telesphore and Leona (Ledocq) Charles.  On October 27, 1937 she married Lawrence Delwiche, and they recently celebrated 72 years of marriage.  Madeline and husband, Lawrence, made their home on a farm near Maplewood until 1991 when they moved to Forestville.  In the spring of 2009, they moved to Oak Creek Assisted Living in Luxemburg.
    
Madeline and Lawrence enjoyed traveling as well as being members of the Senior Club in Forestville.  She was a member of the Christian Mother’s Society.  Madeline enjoyed Bible reading and also crocheting afghans for her children and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She was a very caring and loving person and will be missed by all.
      Survivors include her husband, Lawrence; two sons and two daughters, Larry (Gloria Rische) Delwiche, Franklin, Allen (Judy) Delwiche, Sturgeon Bay, Donna Delwiche, Green Bay, and Sandy (Jerry) Jadin, Sobieski; six grandchildren, Dr. Dean (Karen) Delwiche, Oshkosh, Denise (Bob) Baus, Germantown, Debbie (Kevin) Lichtenburg, Oshkosh, David Delwiche, Milwaukee, Jenny Gray, Sobieski, and Ryan Jadin, Whitewater; ten great-grandchildren, Peter, Rachel and Angie Delwiche; Ben, Zach, Emily and Molly Baus; Alex and Katie Lichtenburg; and Lily Gray.  She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Verna Delwiche as well as nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Marcella and Elmer Lardo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gladys and Carl Tebon, Gordon and Ceil Hendricks and Wilmer Delwiche.
    
A mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Holy Name of Mary Church in Maplewood, with Rev. Anthony Birdsall and Rev. Robert Konkol OFM concelebrating.  Entombment will be at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum on Bay Settlement Rd.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM Saturday until the time of services.  Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.  On-line condolences may be made at www.forbesfuneralhome.com
