Mable Henquinet, 96, of Green Bay, formally of Brussels, passed away at a local nursing home with her family at her side.She was born December 26, 1912 to Martin and Elizabeth (LeRoy) Mallien in the town of Brussels. She graduated from Brussels High School in 1931. Mable married Walter Henquinet on October 16, 1934 at St. Francis Church, Brussels. They enjoyed 50 years together and he preceded her in death on July 10, 1985. Mable was a member of Christian Mothers Society of St. Francis Church, and an officer of the Golden Agers Club at the Senior Center in Sturgeon Bay. Mable enjoyed gardening and flowers, playing cards, making quilts, crafts, reading, and bowling. Mable was a full time partner on the family farm until 1999 when she moved to Sturgeon Bay. Survivors include two sons, Myron Henquinet, Bellevue, and Thomas (Mary) Henquinet, Brussels; seven grandchildren, Debra (Mark) Kingery, Cindi Mastey, Michael Henquinet, Steven Henquinet, Laurie (Jim) Asher, Lynn (Craig) Walters, Amy (Jeff) Uelmen; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Bernice Johnson, Green Bay.She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Ray Mallien; three sisters, Grace (Harry) Swoboda, Norma (Alvin) Neuville, Lillian (Wilmer) Robillard. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 11, 2009 at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish, Brussels with the Rev. Anthony Birdsall officiating. Burial will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and a prayer service will be held Thursday at 7: 00 PM. Online condolences may be made at www.forbesfuneralhome.com.
