Lorraine H. Duncan, 76, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Oct. 26, 2009 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, surrounded by her family. She was born on Oct. 15, 1933 in Ishpeming, MI to Toivo and Viola (Lakanen) Maki. Lorraine worked for the Navy Office in Sturgeon Bay for a number of years. On June 20, 1964 she married Robert M. Duncan. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1983.
Survivors include 3 children: Kim (Curtis) Tracy, Forestville, David Duncan, DePere and Roberta Duncan, DePere; 3 grandchildren, Eric, Amanda, and Collin; and one great-grandson, Hayden; 3 brothers, Raymond Maki, Leroy (Fay) Maki, and Michael Maki, all of MI. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert , and a sister, Margaret.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Friday, Oct. 30 at Bay View Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay with the Rev. Jerry Groth officiating. Friends may call on Friday at the church from 10 AM until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to the National Association of Retired Federal Employees or Neighbor to Neighbor of Door County. |
