Linda F. Robillard

 
 

 

 
 

     Linda (Smejkal) Robillard 93, of Sturgeon Bay passed away at Door County Memorial Hospital on April 16, 2009.  She was born in West Kewaunee on November 24, 1915 to Herman and Minnie (Jonas) Tess.  On October 28, 1939 Linda married Edward Smejkal in Sturgeon Bay; he preceded her in death.  On January 12, 1985 she married Gilbert Robillard Sr., he preceded her in death on January 31, 2005.  Linda was a C.N.A. at the Dorchester Nursing Home and Door County Memorial Hospital for many years.  She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid, and past member of the church choir. She was also a past member of the Evergreen Area Homemakers Club.  Linda enjoyed knitting, crocheting and her favorite flower was the African violet.
    
Survivors include two daughters:Mary Ellen (Gene) Wetak, Sturgeon Bay, Debra Ann (special friend, Earl Fairchild) Peterson, Sturgeon Bay; eight grandchildren:Scott (Michelle) Wetak, Wendy Rogers, Tracy (Jon) Klotz, Brian (Carrie) Peterson, Dawn (Special friend, Jeff Lanning) Peterson, Jake (Stephanie) Peterson, Sharon (Gene) Sternard, Nancy Huffman; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Gwen Simonar, Two Rivers.  Linda was preceded in death by two husbands; one daughter, Janice Clare; and four brothers, Eldon, Wallace, Willard, and Kenneth Tess.
    
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, April 20, 2009 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Bay, with Rev. Darrick Kolterjahn officiating.  Burial will be at Bayside Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 AM until time of services at the church.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church.

     The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Hogan and Dr. Scheer for their wonderful care.  Also, to the staffs at the Door County Memorial Hospital and Golden Living Center-Dorchester.
