Louise M. Krause, 85, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at home on March 15, 2009. She was born on June 26, 1923 in Lincoln to Peter and Louisa (DeBauche) Buhr. Before her marriage, Louise worked for Hucek’s Grocery and for the Algoma Plywood Company. On June 26, 1947 she married Elmer Krause in Lincoln. Together they farmed in the Town of Gardner for many years. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1996. Louise enjoyed playing pinochle and going on mystery bus tours. She was a long time member of the Christian Mothers at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish. Survivors include 10 children:Diane (Philip) Johnson, Sturgeon Bay; Nancy (William) Fleischman, Sturgeon Bay; James (Lisa) Krause, Brussels; Robert (Sally) Krause, Sturgeon Bay; Karen (Michael) Kraus, Appleton; Sandra (Ravinder) Tanwar, TX; Donald Krause; Sturgeon Bay; Joan (Randy) Franda, Sturgeon Bay; Gary Krause, Sturgeon Bay; and Sue(Anthony) Hunsader, Sturgeon Bay; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Peter (Laura) Buhr, Algoma; Tony Buhr, Casco; Nicholas (Barbara) Buhr, New Franken; and Eli Buhr, Algoma; 2 sisters:Clara (Harvey) Engebose, Casco; and Malionie Deprey, Algoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Keith, a great-grandson, Kristopher Charles, an infant sister and a sister, Margaret. Funeral services will 10:15 AM Wednesday, March 18 at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and 11:00 AM at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels with Rev. Pius Cotter officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Friends may call on Tuesday at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay from 4-8 PM. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Tuesday. |
