June M. Peters, 76, Sturgeon Bay passed away at Parkview Manor, Green Bay on October 27, 2009. She was born June 30, 1933 in the town of Nasewaupee to Charles and Lillian (Oldenburg) Soukup. On June 8, 1957 she married William J. Peters at Forestville. He preceded her in death in 1981. June worked at Amity Leather Co., farmed in the town of Forestville, and was in the bakery departments of several stores in Sturgeon Bay. She enjoyed homemaking, baking and playing bingo. June was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Forestville.
Survivors include a daughter, Jody (Douglas) Kolbjornsen, Ijamsville, MD; a son, Jeff, Glenwood Springs, CO; three grandchildren, Meghan, Jaidan, and Logan; a sister, Mae (Harold) Jeanquart, Brussels; two brothers, Jim (Linda) Soukup and Norman Soukup, Sturgeon Bay; three sisters in law, Sue Warner, Green Bay; Ann (Gary) Pilgrim, Kewaunee; Kathryn (Alvin) Hills, Maplewood; a brother in law, John (Lowanda) Peters, Maplewood. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Raymond, Benjamin and a sister in law, Ingra Legrave.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Peters Lutheran Church, Forestville, Rev. David Luhrs officiating. Burial in St. Peters Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Forbes Funeral Home and then after 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church until time of services. A prayer service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. |
