June Fritschler, 82, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Jan. 17, 2010 at the Golden Living Center – Dorchester. She was born in Ellison Bay on June 18, 1927 to Emil and Elizabeth (Anderson) Nelson. On Sept. 19, 1959 she married Stanley Fritschler in Sturgeon Bay. He preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2009. June had worked for over 30 years for several savings and loan businesses, located on 3rd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay. She and her husband enjoyed many years of boating, dancing, camping, and socializing with friends. June and Stan were also long-time and faithful members of Bay View Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Sue Fritschler, Sturgeon Bay; 2 grandchildren, Anna and Jacob; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, Abby; 3 brothers, Roy Nelson, Leonard (Caroline) Nelson, and Reuben (Regina) Nelson; 3 sisters, Lil (Andres) Bursen, Jeanette (Bill) Bastar, and Edna (Bob) Aznoe.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20th, 2010 at Bay View Lutheran Church with the Rev. Timothy Malek officiating. Burial will be at Hainesville Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. |
