Evelyn M. Graf, 86, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at Door County Memorial Hospital on Sept. 13, 2009, with her family at her side. She was born on May 1, 1923 in Egg Harbor to Walter and Myrtle (Spittlemeister) Raynier. On June 27, 1942 she married Francis “Fritz” Graf in Sturgeon Bay.During the war, Evelyn worked as a welder for Christy Corporation. She and her husband owned and operated the Clark Station on Michigan St. for many years. Evelyn retired from Doerr Electric in 1985. Her husband passed away on April 30, 1984. Survivors include 4 children, Barbara (Ralph) Deeter, Larry (Nancy) Graf, Debbie (Bob) Berger, and Cheryl Graf, all of Sturgeon Bay; 1 son-in-law, Don Raymond, Sturgeon Bay; 13 grandchildren, Jeff, Mark, and Steve Raymond, Lori (fiance, Jerry Robinson) Raymond, Joy (Dan) Klas, John Deeter, Scott (Colleen) Deeter, Deanne (Chris) Windnagle, Theresa (Bob) Feeney, Crystal (Paul) Becker, Mike Graf, Shawn LeMieux (fiance, Jesse Allan), Melissa Gabert (fiancé, Bryan Longley); 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Raynier,4 sisters-in-law, Kathy Raynier, Dorothy Corbisier, Eunice Graf, and Margaret Parker, a brother-in-law, Joe Heilman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Beverly Raymond, 2 granddaughters, Faith and Hope Deeter, 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Warden and Shirley Raynier andRoderick Raynier; a sister, Barbara Heilman, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Raynier, and 3 brothers-in-law, Robert Graf, Adrian Graf, and John Parker. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, Sept. 18, 2009at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay with entombment in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Forbes Funeral Home and at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
