Dorothy K. Mieler, 87, of Sturgeon Bay passed away with her family at her side on May 27, 2009 at Pine Crest Village. She was born October 1, 1921 in Sturgeon Bay to Frank J. and Anna (Spahn) Deutsch. On October 16, 1943 she married William Mieler at Corpus Christi Church. Dorothy was a compassionate, religious, sincere, generous, and fun person. She loved her grandchildren and family gatherings, especially the holidays. Dorothy was an antique collector. She loved to cook, bake and work in her garden. Dorothy had a good sense of humor and will be missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, William; three children, Cynthia (Tim) Wick, St. Paul, Nebraska; William Mieler, Jr., Chicago; Catherine (Mark) Tetrick, Dayton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Michael, Andrew and Daniel Mieler, Jonathan Wick , Bryce and Lily Tetrick; two brothers, Harold (Regine) Deutsch, Madison; John Deutsch, Belgium; a sister, Lucille (Les) Berns, Sturgeon Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marie Kroll.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Corpus Christi Church, the Rev. Carl Schmitt officiating. Entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of services. |
