Carol Jean Guarino, 67, of Egg Harbor passed away at her home on March 22, 2009, after a valiant, nine month fight for her life with cancer. She was born June 5, 1941 in Chicago to Joseph and Susan (Licko) Cernuska. Carol was the owner of C.J.’s Antiques, Inc. in Egg Harbor since 1992. On July 15, 1961 she married Frank Guarino in Chicago.
Survivors include her husband, Frank; two daughters: Leslie Anne (Craig) Springer, Hawaii; and Lori Marie (Jacob) Keiser, Naperville, IL; two grandchildren, Kristina and Matt Springer; a sister-in-law, Rita Cernuska, Justice, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Joseph Jr.A great love, friend, wife and mother were lost to us this day, but never to be forgotten.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 16 at the Board Room of Liberty Square in Egg Harbor. Friends may call on Saturday from 6:00 PM at the Board Room until the time of service.
