Audrey Glesner

 
 

 

 
 

      Audrey Glesner of Sturgeon Bay passed away February 1.  She was 75 years old.  The former Audrey Ann Bretl was born to the late John and Agatha (Brey) Bretl.  She is a graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School and Theda Clark Nursing Program.  In 1954 she married Thomas N. Glesner.  Audie had a talent for helping other people, working as a nurse, volunteering at the blood mobile, and delivering meals on wheels. She and Tom were regulars at the YMCA for water exercise and swimming.
    
She is survived by her husband, Thomas, Sturgeon Bay; two children, Pam (Michael) Tompos, Minneapolis and Ernest (Laura) Glesner, Vail, Colorado, and three grandchildren, Dan Jr. (fiancee, Kate Freitag), Eric and Kendall Glesner.  Other survivors include sisters Mildred Sawyer, Delores Kiley and brothers Jerome, Gerald and Ron Bretl.  Audie was preceded by her parents, John and Agatha Bretl; brother, Celestine Bretl; and brothers-in-law William Sawyer and Howard Kiley.
     A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 14 at Corpus Christi Church.  There is no visitation prior to the mass.  The family will greet people at the luncheon immediatley following the service.
