Alton Alvin (LT) Anschutz, 62, Green Bay passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at his home in Green Bay. Alton was born in Sturgeon Bay, WI, the first-born son of Marjorie and the late Alvin Anschutz. Alton grew up in Little Sturgeon and was best known and loved for his Country Music bands including: LT & The Birminghams, LT and the Georgia Overdrive, The Kings Men and others.Alton worked at the Sturgeon Bay shipyards early in his career and then moved on to boiler making for the International Boilermakers Union for whom he worked and contracted until August 2004 when he retired. Alton is known and remembered not only for his love of music and a God gifted talent for singing and guitar playing; even more so for his evident and personal faith and relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of which he was never hesitant to share in his unique and “very Alton” style. Many people can testify to their own personal salvation because of Alton’s witness and encouragement. Alton is survived by his “Forever In Love With Him” wife Ardelle, his wonderful mother Marjorie, his brother Dennis (Joanne) Anschutz and sister Bonnie (Richard) Wilke; his children and their spouses: Allen (Mary Kay), Tracey, Tammy (James), Jesse (Jana); stepchildren, Matthew (Katie) and Christopher; eight grandchildren: Haley, Tanner, Brandon, Adele, Luke, Ella, Ethan, and Teyla; nieces and nephews: Jason, Mandi, Joey, Kayla, Cully, Robin, Holly, Misty, and Joey; eight grand nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place after 3:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Forbes Funeral Home, Sturgeon Bay followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service in honor of Alton’s wishes at 6:30 PM by Pastor Ed House of Door of Life Christian Church. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established and will be forwarded to Alton’s favorite ministry. |
