 Alexander and Beverly Borring

 
 

 

 
 

     Alexander and Beverly Borring, of Sturgeon Bay, and Al’s mother, Marion Borring, all passed away as a result of an automobile accident on June 1, 2009. Alexander was born on July 31, 1941 in Chicago to Alexander and Marion (Uecker) Borring.  Al was an aircraft mechanic-inspector for TWA in Chicago for 35 years.  He was a member of the International Assoc. of Machinists and the Smithsonian Institute.  Al loved nature and wildlife and was a long time member of the National Geographic Society and the National Wildlife Foundation.  After retiring to Door County, Al was a first responder and fire fighter for the Southern Door Fire Dept. and was a part time mail carrier.  He and his wife were also volunteers for the Red Cross.  He was currently serving as Constable for the town of Nasewaupee and held a position on the Southern Door Fire Dept. Board.  Beverly was born on June 16, 1942 in Chicago to Thomas and Mary (Timms) Basch.  She was a systems analyst at Genrad Manufacturing for many years.  Bev had also worked for Motorola and Panasonic.  She loved sewing, embroidering, and scrapbooking.  Bev was also a volunteer with the Red Cross, had served as a First Responder for the Southern Door Fire Dept. and most recently was working for Potowatomi State Park.  Al and Bev were married in Chicago on Dec. 26, 1964.  Survivors include 3 children:  Wendy (Vince) Galati, Crystal Lake, IL, James (Sandy) Borring, Huntley, IL, and Ashley Krause, Sturgeon Bay; 9 grandchildren:  Craig Krause, Alex Borring, Katie Galati, Zack Borring, Vito Galati, Domenico Galati, Devin Borring, Alyssa Borring, and Giavanna Galati; 2 great-grandchildren:  Kearsten and Shaun Krause; Al’s sister:  Marianne (Ron) Gasparas, Morris, IL; Bev’s brother:  Tom (Kathy) Basch, New York.  Al and Bev were preceded in death by their parents and a grandson, Shaun Krause.  A memorial service for Al, Bev and Marion Borring will be held at 8:00 PM on Friday at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay.  Friends may call on Friday from 3-8 PM at the funeral home.  On line condolences from www.forbesfuneralhome.com
